Here’s how to set up your Canon GX3020 printer:
1. Unboxing and Initial Setup
- Unbox the printer and remove all protective packaging and tape.
- Plug in the printer and press the Power button to turn it on.
- Set your language on the printer display if prompted.
2. Filling the Ink Tanks
- Open the ink tank cover on the front of the printer.
- Unscrew the caps of the ink tanks (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow).
- Carefully fill each ink tank using the corresponding ink bottles:
- Open the ink bottle, align it with the tank nozzle, and gently squeeze the bottle until the tank is full.
- Close the ink tank cover once the tanks are filled.
3. Loading Paper
- Pull out the rear paper tray.
- Load plain paper (usually A4 or Letter size) and adjust the paper guides to fit snugly around the paper.
- Extend the output tray at the front.
4. Connecting the Printer
- Wireless Setup:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
- Download and install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app on your smartphone or computer for easy wireless setup.
- Follow the prompts in the app to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- USB Setup (optional):
- If you prefer a wired connection, connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable (sold separately).
- The printer will be detected automatically once the driver installation is completed.
5. Installing Drivers and Software
- Visit the Canon Support Page and search for Canon GX3020.
- Download the drivers and Canon IJ Scan Utility for scanning and additional functions.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process, selecting your connection type (Wi-Fi or USB).
6. Printing a Test Page
- Once the setup is complete, print a test page to ensure everything is working correctly.
