Here’s a guide to setting up your Canon G3200 printer:

1. Unboxing and Initial Setup

  • Unbox the printer and remove all protective packaging materials and tape.
  • Plug in the printer and press the Power button to turn it on.

2. Filling the Ink Tanks

  • Open the ink tank cover on the front of the printer.
  • Unscrew the caps for each ink tank (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow).
  • Fill each tank with the corresponding ink bottles:
    • Open the bottle, align it with the tank’s nozzle, and gently squeeze until the tank is full.
  • Replace the tank caps and close the ink tank cover.

3. Loading Paper

  • Pull out the rear paper tray.
  • Load plain paper (usually A4 or Letter size) and adjust the paper guides to fit around the paper.
  • Extend the output tray at the front of the printer.

4. Connecting the Printer

  • Wireless Setup:
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the Wi-Fi indicator light starts flashing.
    • Download and install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app on your smartphone or computer to guide you through the wireless connection.
    • Follow the prompts in the app to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  • USB Setup (if needed):
    • Connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable (sold separately).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions during driver installation.

5. Installing Drivers and Software

  • Visit the Canon Support Page and search for Canon G3200.
  • Download and install the drivers and Canon IJ Scan Utility for scanning functionality.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation, selecting your connection type (Wi-Fi or USB).

6. Printing a Test Page

  • Once setup is complete, print a test page to confirm that the printer is functioning correctly.
